Series 55 ink

One component ink for screen printing on sheets and injected pieces of polypropylene, untreated i.e. without need of flaming. It allows decorating items that, due to their characteristics, such as very thin walls or very big dimensions, etc., flaming is difficult and makes the material lose important attributes such as dimensional stability in industrial pieces or gloss in decorative pieces.

55 SERIES has a gloss finish, good resistance to abrasion, to water and to detergents.

Recommended applications: sheets/portfolios and injected pieces of untreated polypropylene.

Finish: Gloss.

Presentation: Only viscosity needs to be adjusted, depending on the job, factory temperature and impression speed.

Diluents: D-400 as normal and D-700 as slow. Its adequate mixture gives a good behaviour in the screen and short drying times in the order of 10 to 20 minutes when dried to the air, and seconds at 60ºC, temperature which must not be exceeded.

Colours: See table COLOURS/SERIES

Any other colour can be formulated on demand.

Limitations: It has not enough resistance for certain sort of greases.

Screens: Emulsion with ARGAZOL-E (easy to recuperate) or ARGAZOL-UV (high performance) with meshes from 90 to 130 meshes/cm.

Other remarks: Due to the singularities of this ink and to the additives that PP usually has, specially antistatics, we ask the user to make trials before starting the industrial work and to obtain by their own experience the most correct decisions.
